Welcoming Peter Choi as the New President!
Boston, MA- March, 2025 – PathCheck Foundation, a global nonprofit dedicated to advancing digital public health and data privacy solutions, is pleased to announce Peter (Min Seok) Choi as its new President, following unanimous confirmation by the Board of Directors.
A seasoned leader at the intersection of healthcare innovation, data strategy, and technology commercialization, Choi brings a wealth of experience in AI-driven health technologies, digital governance, and public-private partnerships. In his new role, he will oversee PathCheck’s strategic direction, expanding its mission to develop privacy-preserving health technologies, open-source solutions, and policy frameworks that empower communities worldwide.
Choi currently serves as Managing Director of Strategy & Innovation at the MESH Incubator within Mass General Brigham (MGB), a Harvard-affiliated healthcare system, where he has led the development and commercialization of AI, machine learning, and digital health innovations. Under his leadership, MGB’s innovation ecosystem has incubated 12 patents and three spin-out companies, with a strong focus on data ethics, regulatory compliance, and global health equity.
Beyond MGB, Choi has worked with organizations such as McKinsey & Company, MIT, Stanford, and UNICEF, advising on AI policy, healthcare data commercialization, and global public health strategies. His expertise in cybersecurity, AI governance, and digital transformation will be instrumental in advancing PathCheck’s commitment to open-source digital public health solutions that balance technological innovation with privacy protection.

Choi holds a Master of Bioethics (M.B.E.) from Harvard University, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Neuroscience & Education from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Emory University.
Following his confirmation by the Board of Directors, Choi will lead efforts to expand global partnerships, drive policy innovation, and advance AI-driven public health initiatives that uphold the foundation’s mission of promoting ethical, privacy-first digital solutions for a rapidly evolving world.
